Today was the last day of my full time employment. So in reality I have only been employed since November 2006 and with some luck, never have a boss again.
The sky is clear now, as if the crazy rain didn’t at all happen.
I wonder what the future will bring. For now, I need to focus on finishing my MA. After that I’m looking forward to the well deserved holidays in Hong Kong and Thailand.
(translated from Polish by me)
“Poland. We have found ourselves in the world of absurd. The country where every fifth person had lost their lives in the second world war, where a fifth of all people lives abroad and where every third person is twenty years old. Country that has twice as much students as France and an engineer earns the same as average physical worker. Country where a man spends twice as much as he earns, where average wage equals three pairs of quality shoes and at the same time there is no poverty and foreign capital is overflowing shopping shelves.
It’s a country where the price of a car equals three times your annual salary and despite of that there are no spaces in the car parks. Country which is ruled by post socialists, where church celebrations are days off from work.
Any foreigner must give up any logic here if he doesn’t want to get confused.
A weird country where a waiter speaks fluent English, chef speaks French, you can have a conversation in German with a shopping assistant, but a translator will be required if you want to talk to minister or a representative in any other language than Polish.
Poles! How do you do that?!”
Just found a picture from Offf in Lisbon showing me. It’s not huge and it’s not gonna make me famous, but it makes me feel good. (Visit Offf blog)
Last few weeks at work, I really don’t want to be here. I have so much to do and can’t do it here so as soon as I’m home I’m spending all evening at the computer. I know some people think I love my computer and I’m a bit of a geek, but really I wish it could just slow down…
or do I?
